At the invitation of the softball team at Del Webb Manteca, we played our 1st annual games and it was a blast! The day started off with a very welcoming meet & greet. Before play began we joined in a circle for prayer and the National Anthem. We also reviewed some different rules Manteca Softball uses regarding base running.
Lincoln pulled out wins in both games: 13 - 6 in the first game and 12-4 in the second. There was some fantastic offense: 2 home runs by Ronnell Schuler, a double by Jonae Bertapelle, RBI's by Rachelle Manning and Patty Snyder, and hits up the middle or into the outfield by many players. Our beloved Sharon Ferguson got a hit too-left handed! There was great defense all around, highlighted by some double play action.
Del Webb Manteca is a wonderful group of talented ladies, and they will be coming up to Lincoln next year. We'll be giving them a warm welcome as they did with us. We want to thank Jean De Simone for bringing the opportunity to us and for all her hard work to organize this event. We hope it's the first of many in the years to come!
Sept 17th: Donation to the
Lincoln Girls Softball Association
LHSSL Women's Softball is very proud to be able to donate for the first time to a very worthwhile organization, the Lincoln Girls Softball Association. It's our pleasure to donate six complete sets of catchers gear and $500. We enjoyed getting to meet some of the teams, parents, coaches, and board members at the ceremony. With this donation we are looking forward to seeing these young ladies grow into fun, strong and competitive athletes.

NOTE (3-23-2026): One change to the 2026 playing rules has been made:
"The batter – runner must step on and run through the orange (safety) base when a play is being made at first base. Failure to do so will result in an automatic out for safety reasons".

We love our fans! Please come out and support Women’s Softball by coming to one of our games!
"Each week we divide our players into two teams - the Sun City Storm and the Lincoln Hills Lightning - and play a spirited and fun game of softball!"
Most games are on Sundays at 10am with some Thursday, Saturday, and tournament games spread throughout the season.
Hot Dog Days are a popular fundraiser and the Women’s team sells hot dogs on two weekends during the season. Come out and watch Men’s Softball and buy a hot dog!

Players are honored with the game ball for everything from outstanding play to first hits. It's a great tradition, reflecting the support we give one another and our joy in playing the game. We are proud of our game ball recipients!
