Looking for Competitive Tournament Players!

The Lincoln Hills Coyotes are seeking new players for our senior tournament teams. We’ve fielded only one team recently (Coyote 75s) — and we’d love to grow again!  Tryouts will be held early next year weather permitting.


About the Program

The program Represents Lincoln Hills in NCSSA (Northern California Senior Softball Association) and SSUSA (Senior Softball USA) tournaments.
     - Designed for players seeking higher-level competition
     - Open only to Lincoln Hills residents who are LHSSL members

Age and Competitive Divisions
     Age Groups: 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85 (minimum age for each bracket,

                          you can play down in age, but not up in age)
     Age 65+ brackets allow limited number of “younger” players
     NCSSA:   Number rating system to maintain parity among teams
     SSUSA:   Letter rating system to maintain parity among teams

 

What You Commit To

   1. Financial
     $25 annual Coyote dues
     $300–$400 per year per player for tournament fees (may vary by season)
            - Travel costs (e.g., Reno, Las Vegas)
            - SSUSA registration: $37–$77 

 

   2. Equipment
     Players provide their own gear including SSUSA approved composite bats
     Program provides: uniforms, hats, balls

 

   3. Time
     Core Player – Commits to most tournaments
     Non-core Player – Plays as needed
     Weekly practices at Del Webb Field
     Extra batting practices at Foskett or Singer Parks
     Tournament season runs February to October
     60 and under: mostly weekends
     65 and over: NCSSA weekends, SSUSA midweek
     NCSSA: Local — mostly within 2-hour drive
     SSUSA: Regional — Yuba City, Sacramento, Reno, Las Vegas
         (Tournaments usually include 5 to 6 games, more for SSUSA tournaments)
